Description
The YJ-19 is a high supersonic or hypersonic anti-ship missile first publicly displayed at the Chinese military parade in September 2025. The missile has a comparably slender body with an intake configuration combined with a large first-stage booster. The intake design is reminiscent of the scramjet-powered American X-51. Analysis (Naval News, Sep 2025): The propulsion mode is undisclosed but the intake configuration suggests a possible scramjet. The slender body could potentially allow launch from 533mm torpedo tubes. The launch platform is unknown.
