Design
The landmine had a smooth finish and is painted green but it has an unfinished seam along the bottom edge.
The landmine is similar to the US M14/Vietnamese MN-79 and appears to be a simplified version. The landmine has a small knurled detonator cavity cap on the bottom which also acts as the detonator carrier.
Pressure Plate
The MD-82B has a full surface pressure plate with a slot on either side of the plate.
In the safe condition, it will have a horseshoe type safety clip around the pressure plate which prevents the plate from being depressed.
Charge
The main charge is covered by an inverted cone of plastic which tends to focus the blast upwards during detonation.
