Description

The Ocean Master radar family, comprising the Ocean Master 100 and Ocean Master 400, is an X-band (9.3-9.8 GHz) airborne maritime radar system designed for fixed- or rotary-wing aircraft. It supports missions such as anti-surface vessel warfare, anti-submarine warfare, exclusive economic zone surveillance, and search and rescue. The system offers advanced capabilities for detection, tactical processing, situation display, navigation, and weather avoidance, operating with a pulse repetition frequency (PRF) from 300 Hz to 125 kHz and an instrumented range of 7.5 to 240 nautical miles with 3-meter range resolution. Both versions are frequency-agile, compact, and lightweight, with the entire assembly, including a stabilized antenna, weighing less than 80 kg. The Ocean Master 100 features a 6 kW peak power (100 W average) transmitter, while the Ocean Master 400 utilizes an 8 kW peak power (400 W average) transmitter. The radar is designed to detect various targets, including periscopes, small boats, and lifeboats, through high pulse compression, programmable signal processing with pulse-to-pulse and scan-to-scan integrations, and an antenna rotation rate selectable from 6 to 30 rpm. Tactical processing provides comprehensive situational awareness with multiple target track-while-scan, radar map memory, target classification using profile and Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) techniques, and over-the-horizon targeting. The system integrates with aircraft navigation and combat systems via standard buses and can perform calculations for aircraft not equipped with a mission computer. It features comprehensive built-in test functions, flexible interface capabilities for simple integration, and easily exchangeable units without adjustment or calibration.
