Pantsir S1
The Pantsir S1 (Cyrillic: Панцирь-С1, Russian designator: 96K6, NATO: SA-22 Greyhound) is a self-propelled, short to medium-range surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery weapon system. It is equipped with two twin 30 mm 2A38M cannons and two six-round launchers for 57E6 surface-to-air missiles. The system incorporates the 2RL80 air surveillance and target assignment radar, which operates in the S-band using a passive phased-array antenna with an instrumented range of 50 km, a range resolution of 200 m, a beamwidth of 3°, and an antenna rotation speed of 15 to 30 rpm. This radar also includes a UHF band interrogation channel. Target tracking and missile guidance are handled by the 1RS2-1 “Shlem” (Cyrillic: 1РС2-1 «Шлем», NATO: Hot Shot) Ku-band radar, mounted on the turret's front face, which can also provide X-band target illumination for semi-active missiles. Earlier models from 1995 utilized the 1L36 radar. The Pantsir S1 has been delivered to Algeria, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Oman, the Russian Federation, Serbia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam.
