Protection
Hull Armor The rear and front compartments are armored to provide protection from small arms fire and shell splinters. Some protection is also provided against anti-personnel mines. The armor is believed to consist of a layer of high hardness steel with and additional layer of modular armor, which provides improved protection from ballistic threats. The windows installed in the hull are protected to the same level as the armored sections of the hull. These features provide the occupants with a higher level of protection if the vehicle goes over a mine.
