Description

The EL/M-2133 WindGuard is a 3D pulse battlefield radar featuring four active phased array antenna faces. It is designed for the detection and automatic tracking of anti-tank missiles, anti-tank guided missiles, and tank grenades. Developed for integration into armored combat vehicles, main battle tanks, armored personnel carriers, and other surveillance and reconnaissance vehicles, including trucks and jeeps, the system detects and identifies potential threats. It provides early warning to the crew, indicates the precise direction of the threat, calculates time to impact, and automatically activates response systems. The EL/M-2133 WindGuard can be integrated with both soft-kill and hard-kill countermeasures for vehicle protection. The manufacturer has not released tactical or technical data, including the frequency range, though some sources incorrectly specify S-band.
