Description
The JTPS-102, manufactured by NEC Corporation in Japan, is a mobile L-band (IEEE designation) or D-band (NATO designation) 3D air surveillance and fighter-direction radar. It features an active phased array antenna with a cylindrical structure, eliminating the need for mechanical rotation. A secondary omnidirectional antenna, positioned atop the main cylindrical antenna, is used for suppressing interfering signals and antenna side-lobes. This radar system was supplied to the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force between 1992 and 2000, offering an instrumented range of 200 nautical miles (approximately 370 km).
