Description

The Primus 700 is an X-band airborne weather radar with a peak power of 10 kW and an instrumented range of 300 nautical miles (555 km). It operates with pulsewidths ranging from 0.1 to 3.5 µs and features interfaces compatible with various display systems. The Primus 700A variant is distinguished by its compatibility with the Aeronautical Radio Inc. (ARINC-708) data interface standard, while the Primus 701A further adds a beacon mode for locating portable radio beacons, aiding in navigation to landing sites, other aircraft, or personnel requiring rescue. This radar system is designed for installation on both military and civilian helicopters, including the Eurocopter, Agusta HKP15, Sikorsky S-92, Israeli Aircraft Industries KA-32, and Boeing CH-47, as well as fixed-wing aircraft like the C-130 Hercules.
