Description
GRAVES (Grand Réseau Adapté à la Veille Spatiale) is a bistatic early warning radar system operated by the French Air Force. Operating in the VHF band at 143.05 MHz, it is designed for orbit determination of artificial earth satellites. The system became operational in 2005, with its transmitter located at Broye-Aubigney-Montseugny (47°20’52.8"N, 5°30′54.4″E) and its receiver site situated 364 km to the south at Revest-du-Bion (44°4’17.4"N, 5°32′4.6″E).
