Description
The Rodman 78 Class Indian Immediate Support Vessel. An order for 23 Immediate Support Vessels (ISV) was made in 2013 of which nine Rodman 78 craft were built by Abu Dhabi Ship Building (four) and Rodman Polyships, Vigo (five). The craft are of GRP construction. While the vessels are to be operated by the Marine Commando Force, they were funded by the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation. The role of the vessels is to carry out day and night surveillance of offshore installations and general security operations.
