Description
The AH-1/AH-1A Chinese 155mm Towed Artillery is a variant of the PLL-01 Chinese 155mm Towed Artillery that is equipped with a APU. The APU provides limited self-propulsion to move into or out of the firing position and enables powered deployment in the firing position. The difference between the AH1 and the AH1A is a conventional screw breechblock on the AH1 and a laterally sliding wedge breech block on the AH1A.

AH-1
AH-1 is an improved version of the PLL-01, manufactured in China by NORINCO. It has a more powerful auxiliary power unit, consisting of an air-cooled diesel engine, developing 110 hp. This howitzer has a maximum auto-propulsion speed of 20 km/h. Reportedly, the AH1 is in service with Ethiopia.
AH-2
AH2 is a 52-caliber version of the AH1 towed howitzer. It has a longer range.
GM-45
Same cannon fit onto a lighter carriage. This allows the system to be easier to maneuver but provides less stability to the system.
