Description
The Indra Aries is a naval X-band radar operating between 9.2 and 9.5 GHz. It utilizes frequency-modulated continuous waveforms and a large bandwidth, enabling long detection ranges up to 40 nautical miles (74 km) with a low average power output of 0.005 to 5 W. This design also provides a low probability of intercept (LPI) and high resistance to external interference, with a range resolution of 0.5 meters. An optional 80-watt power amplifier extends the range to 250 nautical miles, and an increased bandwidth of 8.9 to 9.5 GHz improves the range resolution to 25 centimeters.
