Description

The SPS-95K is a lightweight, low-volume naval surface search and navigation radar operating in the C-band (IEEE designation) or G-band (NATO designation) at frequencies between 5.45 and 5.825 GHz. Suitable for destroyers, frigates, and corvettes, the system consists of an antenna, transceiver, and a remote control unit, and features extensive use of solid-state technology. Its electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM) provisions include pulse repetition frequency (PRF) jitter, sector radiation, sensitivity time control (STC), fast time constant (FTC), automatic/manual gain and frequency control, pulse interference suppression, and constant false alarm rate (CFAR). The SPS-95K has an instrumented range of 200 km and incorporates an integral Identification Friend-or-Foe (IFF) capability, with interfaces for video, indicator trigger, IFF trigger, blanking trigger, antenna turning signal, and gyro.
