Description
The NeedleFish Kuwaiti Unmanned Surface Vessel (ASV) is a 14-meter, dual-hull catamaran specifically engineered for rapid unmanned patrol, surveillance, mapping, and seabed surveying missions. What sets the NeedleFish apart is its integration into Kuwait’s broader Marine Domain Awareness ecosystem, an unprecedented combination of static coastal towers, mobile unmanned assets, and AI-powered data fusion. Kuwait has commissioned a fleet of four Needlefish vessels to operate across its national waters. These USVs will perform various missions including interception of suspicious vessels, search and rescue operations, escorting, deterrence patrols, fisheries monitoring, covert surveillance, pollution detection, and seabed mapping.
