Description

The HGR-106 Chinese Target Designation Radar is an ultra-high frequency (UHF) radar classified under NATO C-/D-band and operates within the 0.3–2 GHz sub-band. This 3D volume air surveillance radar is designed for target designation related to surface-to-air missiles (SAMs), anti-aircraft (AA) gun systems, and aircraft guidance. Utilizing solid-state technology, the HGR-106 is highly mobile and capable of detecting medium- and low-altitude targets up to 12 km in height and at distances of up to 210 km. It can also identify friendly or hostile targets and performs tasks such as automatic data extraction, storage, and real-time transmission. Key features of the system include: - A multichannel airborne moving target indicator (AMTI) and a self-adaptive clutter map that enables target detection in the presence of ground clutter. - Automatic tracking and extraction capabilities, along with mounting/dismounting features, leveling, north-seeking, and failure diagnosis functions. - Multi-frequency points and frequency agility, extensive time bandwidth pulse compression, and resistance to asynchronous jamming. - Two working units that facilitate the automatic mounting and dismounting of antennas. - A remote operator workstation for improved control and monitoring.
