Description

The Rapan (Cyrillic: «Рапан», named after a predatory Black Sea snail) is an X-band naval coastal surveillance radar operating at 9,410 ±30 MHz with a peak power of 25 kW. It is designed for monitoring surface environments, automatically detecting and tracking various types of moving surface objects, and determining their coordinates and motion parameters. This radar can function autonomously or as part of automated systems, utilizing a 2.8-meter slotted waveguide antenna with a 0.8° horizontal and 20° vertical beamwidth, rotating at 24 revolutions per minute. A mobile version, known as Albatros, is marketed on a truck platform and integrates additional electro-optical surveillance equipment, an Automatic Identification System (AIS) receiver, and communication equipment.
