Design
It has a cylindrical cast-steel body with tripwire dispensers and a central fuzing system.
The carrier munition KPOM-2 is a tubular metal canister containing 4 landmines and a pyrotechnic delay which is ignited to begin the landmine arming sequence and the deployment of the streamer drogues.
Operation
Once dispensed from the delivery system, the landmine is armed and various components are ejected.
After landing six spring-loaded metal fins bring the landmine into an upright position.
After a few seconds, the top is ejected allowing the release of 4 spring-loaded spools of plastic tripwire.
The tripwires are attached to an arm on the striker release mechanism.
