Description

The 5P27 “Furke” (Cyrillic: 5П27 « Фуркэ ») is an E-band naval 3D pulse-Doppler volume search radar designed for the detection, tracking, and targeting of both air and surface threats. Operating at a frequency within the E band, it offers an instrumented range of 60 km with a range resolution between 150 and 200 meters and an accuracy of 50 meters. Its antenna, which rotates at 30 rpm with a beamwidth of 3.2°, functions as a passive phased array during transmission, powered by a klystron, and as an active antenna during reception, utilizing digital beamforming to create three independent, elevation-stacked antenna patterns. This radar is a shipborne adaptation of the 1РС1-1Е (1РЛ123-Е) battlefield air surveillance radar, originally part of the ground-based “Pantsir-S1” anti-aircraft missile and artillery complex, and is known to exist in four distinct versions.
