Alternate Designation GLD-112
Type Anti-Personnel Mine
Manufacturer INA
Design The GLD-112 is one of the smallest anti-personnel landmines ever made. with a metal casing and rubber pressure plate cover.
Dispenser The landmine can be launched from two types of man-portable dispensers or two types of rocket.
Note As the landmine is ejected from its canister, a pyrotechnic delay is initiated. When the composition burns away in a chamber at the side of the landmine, a spring-loaded safety is released into the gap. This frees a transverse fuzing system in which the firing pin is fixed and the stab-sensitive detonator, positioned opposite, is spring-loaded. When pressure is applied to the top surface, the central plunger is depressed to align a window with the detonator assembly. The detonator is then driven onto the firing pin to initiate the landmine.
