Description

The PAR-E Precision Approach Radar is an X-band air traffic control radar designed for approach and landing guidance of various aircraft, including emergency landings due to avionics failure. It employs an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) antenna for both azimuth and elevation scanning. The system provides high-quality radar displays and computer-evaluated data, such as speed, deviations from glide path/course line, and distance from preceding aircraft, to approach controllers, especially in low-visibility conditions. Meeting ICAO recommendations and standards, the radar has an instrumented range of 40 km and boasts a Mean Time Between Critical Failures (MTBCF) exceeding 13,400 hours, with a Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) under 0.5 hours. Detected information is displayed on local screens and can be transmitted to remote Air Traffic Control (ATC) workplaces, with controller consoles deployable in ATM centers, control towers, or containers.
