Description

The CHL-906 Chinese Surface-to-Air Electronic Jamming System targets hostile radar systems originating from land, surface vessels, or air. The system can also form part of an integrated electronic warfare (EW) system that integrates the function of radar reconnaissance, radar jamming, and command-and-control functionalities. The CHL-906 EW system is designed to cover a wide range of frequencies. Some of its capabilities includes radar reconnaissance, jamming, and warning on the hostile early warning detection radars, communication transmission, multidimensional reconnaissance, navigation and positioning, guidance, and fire control system.The system also blocks signals from satellite navigation systems (GPS, Baidu, Galileo, and GLONASS), which prevents adversaries from using precision-guided munitions and small drones. When part of an Integrated EW or ECM system. It can be integrated into an existing air-defence system and is used by the land, sea, air, and air-defence forces to conduct combat operations such as attack, air-defence in important places, air interdiction, border control and defence, counter-insurgency and stability maintenance, to seize and maintain access to battlefield information.
