Description

The Kontur-10 (Russian designator: A-8131Ц, also known as Метеонавигационная радиолокационная станция, МНРЛС «Контур-10Ц») is an X-band airborne weather and navigation radar operating at 9,345 ± 25 MHz. It features a pulse repetition frequency of 400, 800, or 1,400 Hz, a pulsewidth ranging from 0.6 to 4.0 µs, and an instrumented range of 320 km. The Kontur-10C version utilizes decentralized transceiver modules separate from the antenna, while the Kontur-10M is a compact design, and the Kontur-10SV includes a specialized mode for detecting wind shear. Various antenna sizes allow its deployment on platforms ranging from small helicopters to large transport aircraft, and with a 70 cm diameter antenna, it can function as the ground-based Kontur-Meteo-01 weather radar.
