Description
The Atlantika KX is a naval coastal surveillance radar operating in the Ka-band (IEEE designation) or K-band (NATO designation), and also in the X-band (IEEE designation) or I-band (NATO designation). It functions as a port security radar, utilizing two high-frequency modules that can operate independently or in conjunction, sharing signal processing. The radar has an instrumented range of 12 nautical miles (approximately 22 km) and a range resolution of 10 meters. Its antennas are between 2.4 and 2.5 meters long, and the manufacturer specifies a detection range of 6.7 km in Ka-band and 16.4 km in X-band for a small inflatable boat.
