Description
The RBE2 (Radar à Balayage Electronique 2 plans) is an X-band multimode airborne radar developed by Thales in France for fighter aircraft, notably the Dassault Rafale. Developed during the 1990s, the initial version utilized a passive electronically scanned array. An improved variant, the RBE2-AA, incorporates an active electronically scanned array (AESA) comprising approximately 838 Gallium Arsenide transmit/receive modules.
