Description

The AN/ZPY-1 “STARLite” is a Ku-band multifunctional airborne surveillance radar developed by Northrop Grumman. This synthetic aperture radar, with an instrumented range of 40 nautical miles (74 km) and a range resolution of 1 foot, is designed to accurately detect moving ground targets. It is primarily used for reconnaissance and force protection, notably integrated into the MQ-1C Sky Warrior/ERMP unmanned aircraft.
