Description

The QX-4 Emirati Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is the largest variant of the QX family of loitering munitions designed by ADASI. Unlike its counterparts, the QX-4 features a unique design comprising a fuselage with fixed wings and a twin-tail configuration, where the control surfaces are arranged in a V-shape. This UAV is powered electrically by four twin-blade propellers: two mounted at the rear of the fuselage and one on the lower section of each wing. It is equipped with vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) capabilities and uses a landing gear system that consists of four skid shoes instead of traditional wheels. Additionally, the QX-4 includes an electro-optic gimbal located on the lower part of the drone's nose, which is equipped with a TV/Thermal tracker and seeker. Operators can control the QX-4 using a ground control station that maintains a communication link for video feed and control data.
