Description

The GLD-150 Chinese Anti-Personnel Mine is a high-explosive (HE), anti-personnel (AP), directional, fragmentation landmine using det cord as a means of initiation.

Design The plastic body of the landmine has a convex face housing the fragmentation of ball-bearings, behind which is the main plastic explosive charge. On the base of the landmine are two scissor-type legs made of steel along with two small sockets for inserting det cord. On the top surface of the casing is a carrying handle and a very simple sighting system.
Detonation Type This type of landmine is normally command-detonated with an electrically controlled detonator connected to the det cord, however, it can be activated by pull or tripwire using a landmine firing mechanism or fuze.
