Launcher
The OG-9 is fired from the SPG-9 Kopye (Spear) tripod-mounted man-portable, 73-millimetre caliber recoilless gun.
Launch Cartridge
It uses an OG-9P (OГ-9П) electrically initiated launch cartridge similar to the PG-9P. On firing the lugs on the spigot shear off, leaving the fired empty launch cartridge behind in the gun. The only difference between the OG-9 and OG-15 is the propelling launch cartridge and the launcher used.
