Description

The FLV-1 is a missile defense radar system operating in the L-band (IEEE designation) or D-band (NATO designation) with an instrumented range of 32 km. It integrates radar and electro-optical devices and can be deployed as a ship-based, land-based, vehicle-mounted, or integrated missile-cannon system to suit various operational requirements. The system utilizes missiles that are either passively infrared-guided or laser semi-active-guided, possessing a range of 800 meters to 6 kilometers and a flight speed of 600 to 750 meters per second. The FLV-1 was first publicly displayed at the eighth Zhuhai Airshow, held from November 16 to 21, 2010, in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, China.
