Description
The Scanter 2001 is an X-band Airport Surface Detection Radar (SMR) designed for air traffic control. Its transceiver product range supports six system configurations, from a basic single unit to a dual-redundant frequency diversity setup. The radar utilizes a pulsed magnetron transmitter, controlled by a solid-state magnetic modulator, offering programmable pulse repetition frequencies between 800 and 8,000 Hz. It features a slotted waveguide antenna with a narrow beamwidth of less than 0.37 degrees, low sidelobe levels, and an antenna rotation speed of 60 rpm, with circular polarization recommended for airport applications.
