Description
The MR-231 S is a long-range naval navigation radar operating in the S-band at a frequency of 3050 ± 10 MHz with a peak power of 30 kW. It is designed for use in harsh weather conditions and has an instrumented range of 96 nautical miles (178 km). The radar utilizes a 12-foot waveguide slot antenna, which produces a 2° beamwidth. Its display workstations are derived from those used in the X-band MR-231-3 radar.
