Description

The TRML-2D is a G-band battlefield radar designed for command and control in area and site protection, as well as for individual military units. It features a dedicated helicopter detection function, ensuring reliable detection of low-flying aircraft, anti-radiation missiles (ARMs), and slow-flying, hovering, or pop-up helicopters. Enhanced signal processing with electronic protective measures (EPM) and clutter suppression allows for the detection of small targets even in challenging environments, with an instrumented range of 32 nautical miles. This highly mobile system can be deployed and operational within 10 minutes, capable of simultaneously controlling up to 40 weapons, including launchers and anti-aircraft guns. The TRML-2D, including its command and control (C²) equipment, has been deployed with the German Air Force as a Command and Control Center (FGR) for controlling ROLAND missile launchers. The naval variant, designated TRS-C, is a 2D air and surface surveillance radar for small ship applications, available with either a magnetron or Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) transmitter and moving target indicator or Doppler processing.
