Type 1007 Naval/coastal surveillance and navigation radar
The Kelvin Hughes Type 1007 is a family of high-definition naval and coastal surveillance and navigation radar systems, operational with the UK Royal Navy and other navies worldwide. It offers both I-band (9,410 MHz) and F-band (3,050 MHz) versions, featuring solid-state transmitter/receivers (except for the magnetron) with a 25 kW peak power output and a wide dynamic range logarithmic receiver. Specialized variants with reduced magnetic signatures are available for mine countermeasures vessels. The system incorporates a Colour Tactical Display (CTD) with a 300 km instrumented range, capable of tracking up to 50 automatic and 20 manual targets, and includes features like sector transmission, emission control, and blanking pulses for safeguarding sensitive electronic support measures equipment. The CTD supports extensive interfacing with navigation and combat systems, offering optional high-speed air tracking and networking capabilities for shared track data.
