Description

The AR-325 Commander is a long-range 3D air surveillance radar operating in the S-band (2,700–3,100 MHz), also known as the E/F band by NATO. It is the foundational model in a family of radars designed to meet diverse long-range air defense requirements, offering enhanced mobility compared to its predecessor, the AR-320, by typically requiring only one shelter instead of three. The system features an ultra-low sidelobe planar array antenna with a narrow vertical beamwidth of 1.5 degrees and an azimuth beamwidth of 1.4 degrees, utilizing frequency-scanned phased array technology. Its console is an evolution of the Watchman display, and the radar has an instrumented range of 250 nautical miles (470 km).
