Description
The AQA010 is a new 533mm calibre heavyweight torpedo first publicly displayed at the Chinese military parade in September 2025. Analysis (Naval News, Sep 2025): The AQA010 is prospectively intended for equipping relevant Chinese attack submarines (both conventional and nuclear-powered). It may notionally replace or complement the Yu-6 standard issue heavyweight torpedo currently in PLAN service.
