NS100
The Thales NS100 is an S-band naval radar system designed for combined air and surface surveillance, capable of detecting and tracking aircraft, missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and both large and small ships. Operating as a fully digital beam-forming active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, it integrates dual-axis multi-beam technology to enhance situational awareness, particularly in littoral environments, and can support the weapon systems of its host ship. With an instrumented range of 280 km and antenna rotation speeds of 15 or 30 revolutions per minute, the NS100 was developed from the Sea Master 400 (SM400) and SMART-S Mk2 radars, offering scalable performance through the addition of transmit elements. It can be integrated with the Scout Mk3 FMCW radar, an IFF Mode 5/S interrogator and transponder, an IR camera, AIS, and ADS-B, and boasts a Mean Time Between Critical Failures (MTBCF) of 2,100 hours.
