Description

The Raymarine Quantum™ is an X-band (9,354–9,446 MHz) naval navigation radar designed for civil yachts and boats. It operates as a pulse radar utilizing intrapulse modulation and pulse compression, emitting a peak power of 20 W with pulsewidths ranging from 400 ns to 20 µs and a pulse repetition frequency of 2,083 to 4,167 Hz. The horizontally polarized patch array antenna rotates at 24 rpm, featuring a beamwidth of 4.9° horizontally and 20° vertically, providing an instrumented range of 24 nautical miles (approximately 45 km). Connectivity to radar displays is achieved via Wi-Fi, requiring only a thin power cable for the radar unit, while the Quantum™ 2 model further incorporates Doppler processing capabilities.
