Description

The Kashif-1 (Persian: کاشف-1, “Explorer-1”) is an S-band (IEEE designation) or E/F-band (NATO designation) 2D medium-range air surveillance radar manufactured by IRAN ELECTRONICS INDUSTRIES. Operating as a classic pulse radar with a magnetron transmitter, it features a peak power of 800 kW and an average power of 800 W, providing an instrumented range of 150 km with a 4° beamwidth. The system is easily deployable, with a setup time of approximately 30 minutes, and offers antenna rotation speeds of 3, 6, or 12 revolutions per minute. The export variant of this radar is designated as TM-ASR-1 (“Tactical Midrange Air Surveillance Radar”).
