MP-RTIP
The Multi-Platform Radar Technology Insertion Program (MP-RTIP), designated AN/ZPY-2 by the U.S. Air Force, is an X-band airborne surveillance radar manufactured by Northrop Grumman in the United States. It provides long-range surveillance up to 200 nautical miles (370 km) for both fixed and moving targets, utilizing modes such as Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Air Track, Concurrent Moving Target Indication, Cued Search, and Ground High-Resolution Radar. The MP-RTIP sensor comprises an antenna, radio frequency electronics, and a radar signal processor. Its active electronically scanned array (AESA) antenna features 1,800 radiating elements and can be mechanically rotated along the longitudinal axis to scan either the left or right side of the aircraft's flight path.
