Description

The TRML-3D Surveillance and Target Acquisition Radar System, manufactured by EADS, is a self-contained, mobile 3D G-band radar designed for rapid deployment and high mobility. It integrates a primary 3D radar, a secondary radar system, and operator workstations within a single vehicle, allowing for quick camp and decampment operations in approximately 10 minutes with two operators. This fully-coherent, multi-mode phased array system specializes in detecting, tracking, and classifying small, fast, and low-flying aircraft, missiles, and hovering helicopters within an instrumented range of 130 nautical miles (200 km). The TRML-3D can operate as a standalone unit or integrate into air defense networks, mounted on a minimum 6-axle cross-country vehicle or deployed independently, utilizing hydraulically moved legs for crane-free loading and unloading.
