RS24
The RS24 is a K-band (24.05–24.25 GHz) frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) ground surveillance radar. Originally designed for small boats to enhance situational awareness in dense marine environments, its use of the unlicensed ISM frequency band allows for broader applications without specific regulatory permission. The radar features ultralinear modulation alteration, an instrumented range of 1,500 meters, and a range resolution of 0.75 meters, with a beamwidth of 1.4 degrees and an antenna rotation speed of 60 revolutions per minute. It outputs radar imagery to the RS24 Dashboard and third-party applications supporting the ASTERIX CAT-240 open data format. The sensor and radome assembly measures 50 cm in diameter and 40 cm in height, incorporating an internal switching power supply compatible with international standard mains voltages.
