Description
The SLAR 2000 "Raphaël TH" (TMV 064) is an X-band side-looking airborne radar (SLAR) with synthetic aperture radar capabilities, designed for the French Mirage F.1CR. Operating with an instrumented range of 60 to 100 km and a range resolution of 3 meters, the radar system was housed in an external pod beneath the aircraft's fuselage. Raw data was transmitted to a ground station via an S-band radio link with a maximum range of 350 km. Introduced into the French Air Force in 1995, approximately 740 units of this radar were produced and exported to numerous other countries.
