MFTR-2100
The MFTR-2100 (Multi-Frequency Tracking Radar) is a family of X-band (IEEE) or I-band (NATO) target tracking radars. Variants are distinguished by suffixes indicating parameters such as antenna gain, which ranges from 36 to 45 dB in 3 dB steps, and average power, which can be up to 3,840 W. The radar system is available with five different pedestals, including man-portable tripods, ship-mounted versions, mobile trailer units, and a large, permanently installed version known as the MSTS-2100, which functions as an instrumentation radar. Other letter combinations, such as MFSR-2100 (Multi-Frequency Surveillance Radar), denote different applications like air surveillance and target tracking. Utilizing frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar techniques, the MFTR-2100 employs Successive Multiple Frequency Continuous Wave (S-MFCW) modulation to ensure accurate range measurement and prevent unwanted antenna pattern deflection in its phased array antennas.
