Description
The SkySearch-3000 is an S-band (IEEE designation) or E-band (NATO designation) terminal area radar designed for air surveillance and terminal approach control. This air surveillance radar system (ASR) integrates a primary surveillance radar (PSR) with a co-mounted monopulse secondary surveillance radar (MSSR) and a passive Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) system. Operating at frequencies between 2.7 and 2.9 GHz, it has an instrumented range of 80 nautical miles (148 km), a range resolution of 230 meters, and an accuracy of 50 meters in range and 0.1 degrees in azimuth.
