Description
The MRR-3D NG (“Next Generation”) is a G-band multifunction naval radar system designed for 3D air and 2D surface surveillance, self-defense, target detection, and tracking. Operating with an instrumented range of 180 km and antenna rotation speeds of 10 or 30 revolutions per minute, its antenna electronically scans in elevation to provide target designation (bearing, elevation, range, and radial speed) up to an elevation angle of 70 degrees. The system automatically detects and classifies helicopters, including pop-up and stationary helicopters over ground.
