Description
The AN/APS-128 (D) is an airborne X-band (IEEE designation) or I-band (NATO designation) sea surveillance radar. Operating at a frequency of 9,375 MHz with a peak power of 100 kW, it offers an instrumented range of 120 nautical miles (approximately 220 km). This radar system is specifically integrated into the E-9A "Widget," a specialized military variant of the Bombardier "Dash 8" aircraft, where it is housed within a distinctive black ventral radome.
