Description

The SeaVue XMC (eXpanded Mission Capability) is an X-band airborne maritime surveillance radar, manufactured by Raytheon E-Systems in the United States. Operating between 9.3 and 10 GHz, it is a modular, upgradable system based on the Raytheon AN/APS-137, designed for light fixed-wing aircraft. The SeaVue XMC offers advanced capabilities, including automatic detection, tracking, and sorting of thousands of maritime targets simultaneously, correlating radar tracks with Automatic Identification System (AIS) contacts. It also geographically registers radar detections to AIS data and digital nautical charts, enhancing target tracking, threat localization, and cross-sensor cueing to electro-optic systems. In Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) mode, the antenna illuminates a target continuously without scanning.
