Description

The Meteksan Savunma Mildar (Millimeter Wave Radar) is a Ka-band, short-range, multimode airborne radar developed for the Turkish TAI T-129 ATAK attack helicopter. Mounted under a wing-based station and protected by a radome, it functions as both a surveillance and fire-control system with an instrumented range of 12 km. In terrain profiling mode, the radar maps terrain topology and identifies obstacles, while its fire-control mode can track up to 50 stationary or moving targets. Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey, contributed to its development.
