Description

The Blindfire tracking radar, manufactured by Alenia Marconi Systems, is a K-band differential monopulse frequency-agile radar designed for fully automatic, all-weather engagement. It features a powerful output capable of burning through most jamming signals and employs advanced frequency management techniques to evade jamming and other hostile electronic countermeasures. The system has an instrumented range of up to 32 km, with a maximum height of 5 km, and incorporates a self-surveillance reversionary mode of operation. An offset Cassegrain antenna and a dedicated missile command link provide dual firing capability.
