Description

The SLC-2 is an S-band battlefield counter-battery radar designed to locate hostile artillery, rocket, and ground-to-ground missile launchers immediately after firing. It also supports friendly artillery by guiding counter-battery fire. This fully solid-state, highly digitized radar utilizes a planar active electronically scanned array and has an instrumented range of 50 km with an accuracy of 0.35% or 35 meters. Additionally, it is equipped with optical infrared and sound measuring systems to detect stealth attacks. Two SLC-2 radars were delivered to Bangladesh in 2012.
